Blessing Day

Well here I go! I have almost two years worth of fun memories to catch up on. I will try my best to hurry up and get caught up to the present. I think a good place to begin since I have already posted about their birth, will be their blessing. Looking back through all these pictures have brought up so many fun memories. I remember the blessing day as a day of family and peace. I was so grateful for all my family and friends who came to join us that Sunday. The boys were given a name and a special blessing by Justin. Its hard to believe how big they've gotten!

And I'm back!

Well it's been way too long! But the boys are almost two and I figure now that I have some time for myself I can catch up on the blog. I have lots of fun pictures to share so be patient and hopefully I will get you up to date on our family! Spring Break???

Spring break, a time of rest and relaxation, right? Well for the Polson family it was the exact opposite! It was fun because Justin was home all week and we had lots of family time. We took family walks and finally got out of the house for a little bit. Rachel (my sister) came home from school and finally got to meet the twins for the first time. She came to San Marcos and we went to the outlet mall and had some fun there. We also recently decided to try to switch to the generic brand of formula with the boys and wow, was that a big mistake! They were never fully satisfied and decided to get up every hour during the night. I think they also have their night and days switched up, which is NO fun...I think we got about two hours of sleep that night! It felt like we got hit by a bus the next day! I am sad that spring break is over because that means that Justin has to go back to school. I have been spoiled by him being home with me all day, its so nice to have an extra pair of hands. These boys are a handful! But they are just so cute!

Birth of the Twins

Our twin boys, London Scott Polson and Kingston Michael Polson were born on February the 18th at 10:13 and 10:14 am. London was 6 pounds and 1 oz and 18.5 in long, Kingston was 5 pounds 5 oz and 18.5 in long. The pregnancy was fairly easy going and I and it up to 36 week until my blood pressure started to raise and I had to go in for a C-section. We delivered at Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos Texas. Everything went smoothly, until they discovered that London was having some trouble breathing. London had to be sent to St. Davids in Austin to the NICU. It was so hard for us to see him go. I had only gotten to hold him twice, and my husband Justin had to watch him fly away in a helicopter. This was for sure one of the hardest things we have ever gone through. I was released from the hospital with healthy Kinston after two days. We went to Austin everyday for a week to visit London in the hospital. He had to be given a shot of to help his lungs grow and he also was not keeping food down. Finally after a week he got to come home with us, and then the real fun began!
